My journey at Christ University from 2012 to 2014 was not just an academic pursuit—it was a life-changing experience that transformed my worldview, professional aspirations, and personal growth. Nestled in the heart of Bangalore, the university is a vibrant, high-energy ecosystem that breathes excellence, inclusivity, and a deep sense of community into every student who walks its campus.

From the moment I stepped onto campus, I felt a surge of positivity and purpose. There is something truly unique about Christ—the way it instantly connects with each student, regardless of background or aspiration. The campus itself fosters a sense of belonging, pride, and motivation, which is difficult to find elsewhere, even on international grounds. It felt like home—welcoming, encouraging, and empowering.

Academic & Professional Excellence:

The Master of Social Work (MSW) program was intensive, multidisciplinary, and deeply rooted in values of social justice, empathy, and service. With a specialization in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work, I was given access to world-class teaching faculty, rigorous classroom learning, and immersive field placements that helped bridge theory with real-world application. The faculty were not just educators—they were mentors, role models, and catalysts for our transformation. Their commitment to each student’s development was beyond words.

Field Placements & Practical Exposure:

Christ University’s structured internship program offered me the opportunity to work in prestigious institutions such as NIMHANS, St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bosco Mane, and other renowned mental health and community-based organizations. These placements laid the groundwork for my career in mental health, and I continue to draw from those early experiences in my professional practice today. I was not just trained to be a social worker—I was shaped to be a compassionate leader and change-maker.

Campus Culture & Community:

Christ’s campus culture is the heartbeat of the institution. From cultural fests and department activities to leadership roles and service-learning projects, every moment was designed to bring out the best in each student. The inclusivity, respect, and encouragement that fill every corner of the campus empowered me to break boundaries and grow into the individual I am today.

There is no aspect of student life that Christ leaves untouched. The management’s ability to sustain such a large institution with such grace and precision is a testament to its visionary leadership. Their efforts are felt in every classroom, corridor, and courtyard—creating an environment where dreams are nurtured and talents are celebrated.

Being a Christite is a lifelong identity. Wherever I go—even today, across countries and professional settings—I meet fellow alumni who share the same gratitude, pride, and mindset. The university instilled in me a spirit of service, leadership, and resilience. It gave me the confidence to dream big, the skills to serve well, and the heart to lead with empathy. What I am today is in large part because of the foundation laid during my time at Christ.
